A Must See Movie!!!

We watched an amazing movie last night called "No Greater Love."  "No Greater Love" is the heartwarming story about a second chance at first love. Jeff, a single father, faces the challenge of a fledgling business and raising of a precocious ten-year old son. But when new love blossoms and a stellar business deal looms on the horizon things seem to be going great. That is, until a chance encounter with his estranged wife changes everything. Years later he finds he’s never really lost his love for her.  Faced with a lifetime of emotion, Jeff learns to forgive and meets the love of his life…again.

You will not regret seeing this movie!!!

Caught in a Hail Storm!!!

Tonight I thought it would be a good night to take a walk.  Davis wanted to go and ride his bike and I decided to take my sister's dog along.  We had a great walk and the weather was so nice; until it started to rain.  I had no idea it was going to rain.  I told Davis we needed to pick up the pace and within seconds the Hail started.  We were 1/2 mile from home and I had a boy on his bike and a dog who doesn't know how to walk on a leash.

I was trying to find shelter in the middle of a parking lot.  I picked up Davis and his bike and started running. As the hail started picking up, a lady pulled up in her truck and told me to get in the car.  I didn't even think twice!!! I grabbed Davis and threw him in the truck with the wet dog.  I was so grateful that this women showed up and cared enough to help.  Thank you mystery women!!!!

I was glad to be home safe and in dry clothes and Davis loved telling everyone what happened as they walked in the door for small group.

Camera and IPhone saves a man's life!!!

I have been following a compassion worker that has been missing in Haiti from a blog that I read, and the other day he was found.  The amazing thing is, that one of the things that helped save his life (other then God) was his iphone and camera.

This man appeared on the Today show and he tells an amazing story of survival.

Here is his dress up area!!!  He has a pirate, fireman, construction worker, buzz lightyear, cowboy, superman, car mechanic, and a chef costume. He is loving putting on the different outfits and playing pretend.

Letting Go!!!

I was forward an email from a friend that really spoke to my heart.  It was written/spoken by T.D. Jakes and it is worth you reading (I wrote word for word, so don't blame me for the grammar errors)!!!

"There are people who can walk away from you.

And hear me when I tell you this! When people can walk away from you: let them walk.  I don't want you to try to talk another person into staying with you, loving you, calling you, caring about you, coming to see you, staying attached to you. I mean hang up the phone.
When people can walk away from you let them walk. Your destiny is never tied to anybody that left.

The Bible says that, they came out from us that it might be made manifest that they were not for us. For had they been of us, no doubt they would have continued with us. [1 John 2:19]

People leave you because they are not joined to you. And if they are not joined to you, you can't make them stay.

  Let them go.

And it doesn't mean that they are a bad person it just means that their part in the story is over. And you've got to know when people's part in your story is over so that you don't keep trying to raise the dead.  You've got to know when it's dead.

You've got to know when it's over. Let me tell you something. I've got the gift of good-bye. It's the tenth spiritual gift, I believe in good-bye. It's not that I'm hateful, it's that I'm faithful, and I know whatever God means for me to have He'll give it to me.  And if it takes too much sweat I don't need it. Stop begging people to stay.

  Let them go!!

Starting off Refreshed

These past few months have been so busy.  I am so glad that it is over and our family can get back to a regular routine.  We had an amazing Christmas and New Year's.  We spent a lot of time with family and we got a lot of "our" family time too.

New Year's Eve was spent at my sister's church.  This was the first night in their new faciity and it was great to see some old faces.  We had a great time playing games and then we spent time focusing our hearts in what we wanted to give God in 2010.  This was my favorite part!!!  I wrote a letter to God and gave to Him all the burdens I have been caring around this past year.  It felt so good to get it down on paper and pray claim on the words that I wrote.

This letter will be mailed back to me in 6 months and I am claiming that I will have defeated them all and that God will have answered or changed my desires.

What would you give to God? Write them in a letter to God and hide it away for six months.  You may be amazed on what you will let go of!!!!!
