AWANA Time!!!

Davis loves going to Puggles each week.....

1. He gets to play his guitar during worship time.
2. He gets to play with his friends.
3. Most of all his loves his teacher, Grammie!!!

Davis is learning a lot and Noah and I are loving it.  He has learned 3 verses in the last 2 months and he gets so excited when we ask him to recite them.

• "God is love"
• "God made everything"
• "Give thanks to God"

Beth Moore Conference!!!

This past weekend my mother in-law and I went to the Beth Moore conference.  What a God ordained time for me.  I have been waiting for this day because I was reading her newest book, "So Long Insecurity." This book has been a saving grace for me and I was eager to hear her speak about this topic. Beth Moore spoke Live via satellite to about 869 churches to over 300,000 women.  Amazing!!!!

If you didn't go to the conference you can still benefit to what is means to let go of your insecurities by reading her book.  It is a must read and I promise you, your life will never be the same.

Signs of Summer!!!

I love when the weather starts getting warmer!!!  Our family is so ready to do things outdoors and so glad that we do not have to wear jackets.

There are so many signs to notice when the weather is getting nicer:

• Longer days
• No more heat at night
• No Jackets
• packed parks/playgrounds
• outdoor sports
• parked ice cream stands
• shorts
• flip flops
• etc...

My favorite sign is FLIP FLOPS!!!!  I love love pulling out my flip flops and making sure I have the colors that I need to go with my outfits.  So happy that they are out and I have already started wearing them!!!! Yeah SUMMER!!!

When You Forgive...

Our small group is going through a Philip Yancey DVD series and reading "What's So Amazing About Grace?" by Philip Yancey.  Our group is having a great time digging into then Word about grace and what that all means. Some weeks we were are watching the dvd and that has been a wonderful addition to our discussions.  A few weeks ago we were watching a segment about forgiveness and a man shared four steps you need to take when forgiving someone.  I wanted to share because it has really helped me change some of my thinking.

When you forgive....

1.  You surrender your right to get even.  You stop playing victim.
2.  You give your enemies humanity back.
3.  You get the freedom to wish that person well.
4.  You are willing to be open for what God has for the relationship.


Is this how you are forgiving others? How freeing this must fill!

Davis' First Soccer Practice!

This past weekend Davis started his first soccer practice.  We signed him up through Sports 4 All.  Davis had a good first practice and I am looking forward to next saturday!!!

Davis Spelling his name!!!

I have been trying to teach Davis how to spell his name for some time now.
I started singing the B-I-N-G-O song, but instead of the dog's name I put Davis' name in the song.  This really helped teach him his name and finally last week I asked him to spell his name and it went something like this....

It's Been a Minute!!!

I have missed blogging. :(  Life has been really crazy for us and I have had too much on my heart to know how or where to start.  In time I will be able to get it all out on my blog but not sure how yet.  My faith has grown so much during this last month and God has blessed our family in so many ways.  

We had a great Easter weekend.  I am so honored to have a Heavenly Father that loves me enough that He sent His son to die for me.  The Sunday service was great and I loved seeing all the children dressed in there Easter outfits!!!
