So this week I was given the opportunity to put into practice what Noah and I talked about at MLL. I asked Noah to dress Davis this morning before we headed out to have breakfast with the Okanya's. This is what my son wore all day.
It took a lot for me to just say thank you and leave this outfit on Davis. First of all, I am not sure the last time I saw Noah wear a shirt and shorts that were the same color! Second of all, it was 60 degrees out today. Davis did complain a few times that he was cold!!!
I need to be more of a lover-wife then a mother wife. So thanks babe for dressing our boy today and I am sure he will never remember wearing this outfit!!!

So let me just say that:
(1) I do that kind of thing to Bethann all the time. It bugs her. I don't get it. I never get it. Today I got the look because I paired a pink and white Boston Red Sox onesie with a pair of purpley jeans with pink flowers in Lari's suitcase. I still don't know why that combo was wrong.
(2) When I saw the picture of Davis, nothing seemed wrong with it to me at first. I just thought "Hey, there's Davis in red."
(3) After I read your comment about the picture, I still wasn't sure what was wrong with it. Sure, 60 degrees is borderline shorts weather if you're outside... but the the red/red combo doesn't strike me as a problem. I'm convinced this whole fashion nonsense is an arbitrary set of rules that constantly change, can't be articulated clearly, and make no sense.
(4) I'm glad you love Noah enough to let him dress your child however he likes.
(5) I'm glad Noah loves you enough to keep getting Davis dressed, 'cause he's got to know by now that he'll do something "wrong" every time.
It must be a guy thing.
