Ohhh, I remember these days! When we moved out of our last house we had to paint over a portion of the wall with primer because the permanent marker "artwork" bled through the acrylic paint... Try going to ehow.com and do a search on "permanent marker" for some ideas on how to get it off stuff
Try hair spray. Hair spray has some serious solvants in it that can take on most anything. (Do a sample spray on an inside corner first to make sure that it doesn't eat the shirt too.)
