"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16
This is the first verse I memorized when I was a kid. I loved repeating it over and over again. It wasn't to0 much later in life that I truly understood the true meaning of this passage. What an incredible gift God gave us! I am so THANKFUL to serve an AMAZING God, who would send His only son to die for ME. WOW! I have chills right now.
Today, I reflect on this special gift. I am in awe of a boy born into a normal family, lived a normal childhood, and grew into an amazing man. This man grew up knowing one day he would be a sacrifice for all mankind. This one human would come and save this evil world and we, who believe would have eternal life. NO one could ever come close to the pain and fear Jesus experienced and He did it because He loved us.
I am so thankful to serve a God that loves me enough to send His only son to experience a horrifying death to enable Me to have eternal life. I am in AWE of you Jesus!!!!!
